About the Event
Looking for volunteers that feel good about breaking a sweat and doing some manual labor! We will start with a mini-tour of the sanctuary to meet some of our residents, then we will dive in to the break-a-sweat work on a variety of projects that desperately need to be done (including moving mulch, replacing fencing, planting trees, etc.).
Because of the pandemic, this volunteer day is limited in participants. You must register if you plan on coming. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind sweating in and getting muddy. Bring a full water bottle (it can get hot!), and depending on the weather we recommend sunscreen and/or a rain jacket. If you have work gloves, please bring. We will provide light snacks but recommend bringing any vegan snacks you might also like to have.
Please bring a face mask; it shouldn't be needed throughout the volunteer day (because we are outdoors and will have ample room to be spaced far apart), but during the tour, briefings, etc. we will ask that you put it on.
