Charlotte was rescued from a pig farm located on the Leeward side of Oahu. We were told that all of Charlotte's siblings died for reasons we're not sure of. Luckily, Charlotte's story took a turn for the better when her rescuer saw her being kicked by the farmer. The rescuer advocated for Charlotte's release when she saw her being abused, and luckily she was able to bring her home. Charlotte's rescuer lived in a residential area in Kailua and knew right away she couldn't keep her forever. She reached out to the sanctuary and fortunately we were able to bring her to her forever home.
Charlotte is best buddies with Yoru, a black polynesian pig. Charlotte is not very social with humans and prefers to keep to herself, which is fine with us. Wherever Charlotte is, Yoru is always near by. The two are inseperable.
